Using data sourced from the Adelaide Council, this project examines the financial and operational impact of a penalty-based enforcement system (late fees).

Key insights

  • Issuance has consistently outpaced Settlement, indicating a need for stronger enforcement strategies.
  • Prioritizing early payments may yield higher returns than late stage recovery efforts.
  • A small subset of offence types drives the majority of unsettled volume and unpaid risk.

Download Excel Workbook

Excel-only dashboard created using a collection of monthly .CSV files from an HR agency.

Provides insights of workforce composition and trends like headcount, full and part-time, gender, ethnicity, pay type and termination patterns over time.

The solution was designed to be automated: adding fresh data to the data folder would update all charts and KPIs.

Key insights

  • Reliance on part-time roles in recent years appears correlated with lower tenure and increased voluntary terminations.
  • Retention strategies should be aligned with a predominantly under-30 workforce (early careers).
  • Gender and ethnic representation are balanced across the workforce.
